Killis Almond Architects

The Performing Arts Campus project was created to encompass the renovation and expansion of the City Hall Auditorium (29,400 SF) as well as the adaptive reuse of an adjacent 44,000 square foot Coca-Cola bottling plant building. The programming was developed as a Master Plan Feasibility Study completed by Janis Barlow; Theatrical Consultant and Killis Almond, FAIA; Planning and Theatrical Design in December 2010.
The former Coca-Cola bottling plant, now The Stephens Performing Arts Center is home to the PAC management staff. It also houses the Brooks & Bates Theatre, a Black Box Performance Space, theatre shops, and several Ballet academy studios with associated offices.
The Stephens Performing Arts Center is the home to Ballet San Angelo with five new sprung floor dance studios, one Pilate’s studio, children’s movement room, staff offices and support space. Ballet San Angelo uses these studios for their academy which is specifically designed to build high quality dancers while infusing students with a lifelong love for moving, performing and the performing arts.
